A bit about Scarce
Independent London based filmmaker Sally Irvine has directed a documentary on the band “Scarce: Days Like These”. This biopic contains never seen before footage of Scarce including studio sessions, archive and early footage, interviews with Scarce disciples such as Kristin Hersh (Throwing Muses), Joe Lally (Fugazi), friends and fans new and old, and industry cohorts that never stopped believing in Scarce. The band are currently recording a new album with Chris Cugini (ex Anastasia Screamed with Chick) slated for release in October of 2009.
So for 4 nights only Scarce will be playing a UK tour for the first time in 12 years. Each evening will include a screening of the film, UK based support band(s) and a FULL live set by Scarce.
Spin Magazine last month included them their "The 100 Greatest bands you've never heard of” feature.
